The guru-disciple relationship is the basis of the spiritual path — guiding us back to God. “When you are steadfast in the principles of the guru-disciple relationship,” Paramahansa Yogananda says, “the spiritual path becomes very easy. You cannot then go astray. No matter how delusion tries to pull you away, the master who has experienced God knows your trouble and will help you to steady yourself on the path again. That is what the guru does for you if you are in tune with him.” As we begin to open ourselves more fully to the Guru’s guidance, we realize that he is with us every step of the way, no matter our outward experiences.
In this class, Self-Realization Fellowship monk Brother Govindananda will focus on how to bring the full measure of this guidance and support into our lives — especially at the times we most need it.
