Welcome to this photo essay of some of the recent visits by SRF monastics to locations around the world.
In Spring 2022 SRF monastics resumed visiting Paramahansa Yogananda’s worldwide spiritual family in cities in the United States and Europe, after such visits had been temporarily paused due to the pandemic. The monks and nuns conducted a wide variety of inspirational events, including lectures and classes on the “how-to-live” teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, weekend retreat programs, group meditations, kirtan devotional chanting, answering spiritual questions in satsanga, and providing individual spiritual counseling.
Atlanta Center
In May, Brother Ishtananda traveled to the SRF Atlanta Center for an inspirational visit that included classes, meditations, and outdoor social events.
Sacramento Center
Brother Prafullananda and Brahmachari Bhaskarananda conducted a weekend retreat at the Sacramento Center in May. Activities included review of the SRF meditation techniques, kirtan chanting, informal classes, and a Sunday service.
Greenfield Retreat, Front Royal, Virginia
In May, Brother Sevananda and Brahmachari Troy conducted a weekend program in Front Royal, Virginia, near the lovely SRF Greenfield Retreat (center, below). They also visited devotees in Richmond, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Scotland, England, and Portugal
Brother Padmananda and Brahmachari Roberto visited members in Ireland, Scotland, England, and Portugal in June (above image at the SRF London Center).
