Position Summary
- Responsible for the coordination of all maintenance, garden, and auto maintenance work to ensure that the facilities are safe and in compliance with organizational standards, both functional and aesthetics.
- Consults with the Site Manager to assess work requests, set priorities, and coordinate the work.
- Other position-related tasks, as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Plan/prioritize work requests with the Site Manager
- Organize, plan, and delegate work within the departments.
- Work with the Site Manager to train and review the work of others.
- Assign various responsibilities as required.
- Coordinate and oversee the Maintenance, Garden, and Auto Maintenance Departments and employees.
- Serve as a liaison between the departmental heads, staff, and volunteers.
- Write project reports with cost analysis for budget records.
- Process work orders, field work related requests, and maintain punch lists.
- Prioritize and schedule work, both in-house and contracted.
- Procure pricing, bids, and information.
- Meet with sales representatives and contractors.
- Coordinate design, space planning, specifications, schedules and drafting for projects.
- Prepare materials lists for ordering.
- Order, expedite and receive merchandise and supplies.
- Prepare letters, memos and proposals for review.
- Process department business documentation including but not limited to invoices, check requests, purchase orders, petty cash requests, credit payment verification, and employee time records.
- Maintain administrative records and files.
- Honor and maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
- Organize and maintain library of project handbooks, plans specifications and reference materials.
- Maintain safe working practices, safety classes and related records.
- Responsible to follow SRF’s policies and established processes.
- Other position-related tasks, as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years demonstrated successful background, supervisory experience and skill in the following maintenance trades; plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC.
- The ability to apply a mastery of skill in procedures, techniques, use of tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required.
- Ability to read and write English.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school a plus.
- Must have extensive knowledge of the materials necessary for the job.
- Familiarity with basic accounting practices.
- Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license.
- Ability to operate a skip loader preferred.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations after regular hours.
- The ability to work autonomously and serve as a resource to others when complex problems and issues arise.
- The ability to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare and present written and / or verbal presentations in both private and group settings.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with SRF principles and standards.
- Demonstrated successful supervisory experience.
- The ability to represent SRF adequately when dealing with the public.
- The ability to function well in a multi-task environment.
- The ability to lift up to 75 lbs., sit, stand, walk, bend, push or pull, climb and stretch, for extended periods of time.
Additional Details
This is a 40 hour per week position, Monday through Friday.
